As a consumer, you can help save our planet!
Consumerism hurts Mother Earth gravely! In 200 years, you and I will no longer be alive. But our progeny will. We have something within our power that former generations did not possess. We can reduce our purchases of things. Most of us have more than we need. Literally, we can change our world, just by buying and owning less. Better Stewardship of Our Beloved Planet is Within Your Grasp
You can influence big consumer-oriented corporations with your dollar. Choosing not to purchase over-packaged goods is a start. https://www.mnn.com/money/sustainable-business-practices/stories/5-ways-to-fight-retail-overpackaging Deciding to repair appliances and vehicles in place of buying new ones is not only good for our planet, but is economical. Another way consumerism hurts Mother Earth is to reduce what goes into land fills. Compost your old and uneaten food, recycle everything you can rather than throw it away. Try to plan errands for once a week or at least le, to use less fuel.
Consumerism Hurts Mother Earth. There Are Benefits to a Simpler Life Style
There is a movement across the globe for a simpler, less expensive, less busy lifestyle. People tell us they are not only doing it to leave a better planet to our children, but also they are happier and healthier for it!
Be willing to take responsibility to be stewards of our planet, and adopt a life style that will heal it. Spread the word, and teach your children the consumerism hurts Mother Earth.
We can give a better and healthier world, Mother Earth, to our great-great grandchildren. When we at the store and remember that consumerism hurts Mother Earth, what a phenomenal choice we have at our grasp! What better gift could there be?
Do what you can.
Few of us can do it all. Something is better than nothing, apathy, greed, and making no effort to change or destructive lifestyle. I’m just an average person with little power to change much, but I know if millions of others did only what I’m doing (which isn’t difficult), it would make a Huge Difference. . Consumerism hurts Mother Earth, our home, and every day there are choices we can make to help our planet heal.
- Bring items you no longer want to resale stores
- Have a yard sale
- Use both side of any paper you write on. Recycle paper from printer back to the printer when only one side was used.
- Give away or put out at your curb small appliances, books, clothes, furniture, toys, dishes, pots and pans, and anything else you no longer want.
We all could do much more if we had the money and time. But You can feel good that you are doing something. Talk about it wherever you find a “listening”. Encourage others to leave a sustainable planet for our great-great grandchildren.
